Koble’s 2018 Year in Review

We’d like to wish everyone a happy holiday season! 2018 has been a very productive and fruitful year for Koble, and we hope you had great success as well. Each year seems to fly by faster and faster, and we’re so excited to see what 2019 has in store.

As we progress into the new year, we’d like to share with you some of the key highlights that defined 2018 for the Koble team!

Koble expands globally. We kicked off 2018 in style by bringing our desire to connect businesses of all sizes worldwide. Ozy took a feature look at how Koble’s mission levels the playing field for small enterprises and redistributes wealth in the business world.

Koble partners with Axiata’s Xpand. In August, we signed an Asia-wide exclusive licensing agreement with Axiata Business Services Sdn. Bhd., operating under the brand Xpand. Together, we’re starting to bring localized versions of Koble to millions of businesses in Asia.

Malaysia, here we come. We were so excited to launch our services in Malaysia, in September as part of Celcom’s Business Solutions Portfolio and through our partnership with Axiata Business Services Sdn. Bhd. Since our launch, we’ve enabled Malaysian business professionals to discover, connect and facilitate business deals with clients and suppliers around the world.

Koble brings home two awards. In October, we were honored to receive two awards. We were first awarded the Excellence in Social Networking Platform at the third annual Digital Economy Forum, put on by the Malaysian Digital Chamber of Commerce. Koble was also included in Red Herring’s Top 100 Global list, which recognizes leading private companies from North America, Europe, and Asia. This list is a mark of distinction for identifying promising companies and entrepreneurs. We were proud to be ranked with other top companies and in the breath as past honorees such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo, Skype, Salesforce, YouTube and eBay.

TrueReview is launched. We launched several exciting new features on our platform this year, but TrueReview was of special interest. This feature adds a Yelp-like element to B2B buying. Suppliers and buyers are ranked based on their reviews; meaning the better the recommendation, the higher the ranking.

Koble exhibits at the 38th annual America’s Small Business Development Center Conference. In September, we had the great opportunity to exhibit at this year’s SBDC Conference in Washington D.C., which brought 1,300 small business professionals together for a weekend of networking and business development. At the conference, we showed SBDC professionals how state and local SBDCs can leverage Koble as a resource for the existing and new businesses they’re helping grow and prosper.

What’s next for Koble? We have some very exciting announcements coming early in the new year, and we can’t wait to share them with you. We hope 2019 brings you much happiness and success. Seasons greetings from our teams in Boston, Helsinki and Kuala Lumpur!
